For the last rally of the season in Monza, Sébastien Ogier does the job, ensures and ultimately wins his 8th WRC world title with Toyota.
During the entire 2021 WRC season, Sébastien Ogier developed a rivalry with Elfyn Evans. The Welshman tried everything to prevent the Frenchman from winning for his final year in the WRC. But it is mission failed, the Toyota pilot spoke about his experience. He remained constant throughout the weekend, even if it meant giving up time, but reaching the finish well and always ahead of his rival.
However, it was not done, on the first day, Elfyn Evans appeared in front of Sébastien Ogier. But the native of Gap quickly tipped the scales while playing with the pressure of his rival and teammate, who gradually gave way. In the end, it’s 7.3 seconds that separates the two men. A rivalry that is also successful for Toyota and at the same time brings them the constructors’ title against Hyundai.
Sébastien Ogier therefore ended his WRC career with a masterful hand in the championship and left with 8 world crowns. Here is the result of the Rallye de Monza.
