The facelifted version of the Jazz hybrid arrives in Europe, including a new sporty finish and an improved hybrid package.
If you are a loyal Clean Automobile reader, the restyled Jazz has a little air of deja vu. Normal, it has already been launched on its domestic market, we talked about it on this occasion. Honda is now unveiling the almost identical model for Europe.
The aesthetic retouching is slight. We can remember the darker background of the headlights, the revised grilles and new shields. On the Crosstar adventurer version, these bumpers incorporate new silver-coloured inserts, which evoke the underbody protections. The Crosstar also gains a new color, polar blue, and redesigned rims.
The range is completed with a new Advance Sport finish. As its name suggests, it gives a more dynamic design to the hybrid Jazz, with for example a more imposing air intake. This model receives a specific grid grille, mirrors painted in black and unique 16-inch rims.
On board the Advance Sport, there is a new three-spoke steering wheel (there are two spokes on the rest of the range), upholstery combining black and gray and yellow stitching on the doors and the central armrest.

Honda takes advantage of this restyling to rework the hybrid engine, consisting of two electric motors and a gasoline unit. The powers are progressing: the electric propulsion unit gains 10 kW, the generator motor gains 8 kW and the petrol engine (a 1.5) gains 7 kW. Which makes 122 (instead of 109), 106 and 107 hp respectively. CO2 emissions remain contained, between 102 and 106 g/km.
The brand says it has modified the automatic transmission “to improve its responsiveness and flexibility”. There is a new response to acceleration “in order to increase the sensory perception of it”. The Advance Sport benefits from a specific accelerator pedal mapping, for more responsiveness. For a more dynamic ride, Honda has changed the balance of stiffness between the front and rear by revising the spring rates (-8% front, +20% rear).
All models now advertise a towing capacity of 500 kg. Honda has revised the driver assists to make them less intrusive in everyday driving. The traffic jam assist now works from 0 km/h.
The new Jazz will arrive in Europe during the second quarter of 2023.
