Tesla heard the critics. Its smaller models were criticized for their frankly excessive prices. Finally, especially the Model 3, the price of which has constantly increased in 2022 to reach a minimum of €53,490 when, about a year ago, it was displayed from €43,800. No need to be an expert in calculation, this corresponds to more than 10,000 € of increase! The Model Y for its part has always been relatively expensive, although it was, paradoxically, a little less lately than the sedan from which it derives, at least in its basic propulsion variant. Well, there has been movement again in prices, but this time it’s great news for the many Tesla model enthusiasts since they have been revised downwards, and not just a little!
Between 3,000 and 11,000 € less depending on the model and version!
Judge instead. Already, the prices of the Model 3 are falling depending on the version from €6,500 to €9,500. For the Model Y, it’s even better since they dive from €3,000 to €11,000! Yes, yes, you read correctly! In general, the intermediate Long Autonomy variants are the big winners of this operation since, in both cases, whether it is the sedan or the SUV, they are indeed the ones whose prices go down the most: -9,500 € for the Model 3, -€11,000 for the Model Y.
The basic Model 3 and Model Y can again benefit from the ecological bonus
However, this is not the most interesting. Because if the basic versions, simple propulsions, are not necessarily those whose prices drop the most, they are again eligible for the ecological bonus, reserved in this year 2023 for vehicles not exceeding the bar of 47,000 €. In fact, you can still subtract from €5,000 to €7,000. Those whose reference tax income per unit is greater than €14,089 will pay €39,990 for the Model 3 and €41,990 for the Model Y. And if it is lower than €14,089, the Model 3 will not will cost you more than €37,990, the Model Y a little below the €40,000 mark, €39,990 to be very precise.
The Tesla Model 3 and Model Y n°1 and n°2 in electric sales in France in 2023?
When it was still eligible for the superbonus, the basic Model 3 that could benefit from it was a real hit. In 2021, it arrived thanks to this at the head of electric cars in France. Better, it was at the gates of the Top 10, all engines combined. Its sales had jumped 284.6% compared to the previous year. Successive price increases meant that, while still a popular model, the electric sedan lost ground in 2022. And while the Model Y ended up being more accessible than it around the middle of the year, it did not finish ahead of her in the general classification. But we have to admit that he got off to a pretty good start. In other words, the year 2023 should be very profitable for them. We would not be surprised if they both reach the podium of electric cars by the end of this financial year if Tesla decides to maintain this very advantageous pricing policy. See you around the beginning of 2024 to find out for sure.
