A man stole a car in Lomme this Wednesday, January 11. He then sold it for a pittance, to buy drugs.
Did you say “business acumen”? Because the author of a theft obviously does not have it. In Lomme (Nord), a man stole a car in the rue de la Gare areathis Wednesday, January 11, reports the daily The voice of the North.
The case went produced in the parking lot of a supermarket. CCTV cameras filmed the scene of the theft. Once the images were extracted by members of the police, they made it possible to see a man there. The latter seized the car, a Renault Clio, while its 76-year-old owner was shopping in the store.
Investigators quickly track down the thief and another suspect. The two men are arrested and taken into custody. At the end of this procedure, one of the two is left free. the second is auditioned and makes remarks that are surprising to say the least…
The stolen car resold a few hours later, for 300 euros!
The latter thus recognizes the facts. Worse, he even explains have already sold the car! This for a pittance: 300 euros only! An unbeatable and certainly not intriguing price (!) from which the buyer took advantage.
The thief explained that he had stole the vehicle because he is a drug addict. He needed that money to buy narcotics and was therefore ready to do almost anything to obtain it. The authorities decided to put him on trial. This will be done during an appearance on prior admission of guilt, a plea-guilty procedure. The trial date is set for March 21.
