Leaving a very tipsy nightclub, two Montpellier women found a good Samaritan to take them home. They also took the opportunity to steal his car.
Seeing these two young women aged 20 and 21 leaving the disco around 7 a.m. this Sunday, January 15, a 20-year-old motorist offers to bring them back to their destination. A very charitable act vis-à-vis the rate of drunkenness of the two young women.
However, after a few minutes of driving, the driver stops at a night grocery store to buy some alcohol. When he returned, his car disappeared with the two occupants inside.
Finally, the police find the vehicle a little further, in the Pompignane district where the two young women live.
While in custody, the two sides delivered vastly different versions of this story. According to the young man, the two friends would have offered him treats in exchange for the return trip to their home. An offer he would have refused before agreeing to spend the morning with the two women.
But for that, he would have had to buy alcohol. That’s when the young women took advantage of his inattention to steal his Renault Clio.
Another version for a similar result
Conversely, the two girlfriends issued a second clarification to this case. According to them, it was the driver who was insistent and full of sulphurous remarks. To punish him for his behavior, they therefore chose to leave with his vehicle, without him.
At any rate, the theft of the car has been recognized. The 20-year-old young woman will therefore have to answer for her actions in court for drink driving and without a driver’s license. As for her friend, aged 21, she was released after a few hours.
