Last Thursday, January 12, a Texan police patrol made a very good catch with a crazy driver aboard his Corvette. A very big excess of speed which will cost him dearly.

On this section of highway located near Splendora, north of Houston, is conducive to speeding. Its very slender and straight shape encourages some drivers to push the accelerator a little too much.

But just recently, the owner of a Chevrolet Corvette pushed the cork a little too far while passing in front of a police patrol at 241 km/h! A speeding over 140 km / h which obviously resulted in an arrest.

Controlled in the process, the driver was sent to pre-trial detention before his appearance in court. As for his American sports car, she won a one-way ticket to the pound.

In Texas, speeding offenses are not necessarily very severe, but are, however, always regular. For any excess over 50 km/h, the motorist will be condemned to pay a minimum fine of $300.

But in this case, the driver of this Corvette was also sanctioned for dangerous driving. To the $300 fine could therefore be added a 30-day prison sentence.
