This week, Aston Martin presented an ultimate variant of its DBS. Honda and Mercedes presented a revised version of their Jazz and CLA (sedan and shooting break). Chevrolet has finally introduced the very first hybrid Corvette in history. The BMW M3 CS was unveiled by mistake. We also told you about a Chinese novelty, the Leapmotor T03. Finally, our illustrator has imagined the face of certain models that will or could land in the more or less near future. Let’s do a check in.
Aston Martin DBS 770 Ultimate
Launched in the fall of 2018, the current generation of DBS is not particularly old. Never mind, however, she does not have much longer. Before retiring, the cutting-edge Aston Martin coupé offers itself an ultimate variation called… not “Ultimate” but, almost, “Ultimate”, in English. The 5.2 biturbo V12 is pushed to its limits and here reaches the dainty power of 770 hp, against “only” 725 hp for the “basic” DBS. Which makes it, putting aside the Valkyrie and Valhalla hypercars, the most powerful car in the range. Obviously, the presentation is specific and neat, like its 21-inch rims with a very elaborate design.

BMW M3 CS
When you are a novelty that is about to be presented, it is better not to be called BMW because scoop hunters are often on the lookout. Latest example, the most bestial version of the already intimidating M3, the CS, unveiled a little ahead of its official presentation which would be scheduled for the 24 hours of Daytona at the end of February. But we can already appreciate its exterior line from every angle. And the copy circulating on the net is anything but discreet with its fluorescent green livery.

Citroën ë-C3
Citroën presented an all-new C3 last July. No, no, it’s not a joke, it’s just that it’s not for us, it’s designed in India but will also be distributed in Latin America, hence the fact that you ignore it without doubt. A little shorter than the one we know in Europe, less plump, a bit more muscular but not too much more, it plays the small SUV. And it has the first to introduce an electric motor, which the European C3 cannot offer in its current definition because of its platform not adapted to 100% electric. The Indian model, which is based on a simplified variant of the CMP base used by the Peugeot 208, for example, can. But the technical characteristics of its electric motorization are closer to those of the Dacia Spring than of the e-208.
What are they exactly? To find out, it’s here that it happens:

Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray
Decidedly, lately, everything is going off the rails! Latest example to date, the Chevrolet Corvette converts for the very first time in its career into a plug-in hybrid car. That said, for once, we can’t say that you are an E-Ray-responsible. It should be called E-Ray, not Sting Ray. And don’t worry, the V8 (now in the central rear position) is still there, it’s just attached to a 120 kW (about 163 hp) electric motor placed at the front, making this sporty 4-wheel drive . The whole develops 664 hp and 637 Nm of torque.

Honda Jazz restyled
More discreet on our roads than its two main rivals, the Toyota Yaris and Renault Clio hybrids, the Honda Jazz continues its merry way and finally benefits from the changes made a few months ago to the Japanese version (which is called Fit in the Country of the rising sun). On the program, a little more character with the new grille already seen on the Civic, a sporty finish and a handful of additional horsepower, 13 in total (122 hp now).
If you don’t want to wait until the second quarter to discover it up close, here are some more photos:

Leap motor T03
Leapmotor, here is a name that surely means nothing to you. Logical insofar as this brand of Chinese origin was not present in Europe until then. We French will be the first inhabitants of the Old Continent to see it land on our roads. To seduce the public, it can count on a small, rather modern-looking electric city car. On paper, it is not devoid of qualities and could really hit the mark with its studied price.

Restyled Mercedes CLA
Logical sequence. After the Class A and B, here is the CLA (the sedan and the shooting brake) in turn benefiting from some cosmetic alterations. Very sincerely, take out the magnifying glass to identify them. No, more than the look, it is the standard equipment that is changing with new colours, new interior linings or even a Nappa leather steering wheel now standard and which can be heated as an option. On the technical level, we note the fact that all petrol engines are now associated with a 48V micro-hybridization and that the rechargeable hybrid variant is a little more powerful and benefits from a more powerful on-board charger.

Peugeot e-Legend
Were you disappointed to know that the e-Legend concept presented at the Paris Motor Show in 2018 would not be translated into series? Wait, maybe it’s not set in stone. After all, the Inception showcar unveiled at CES in Las Vegas a few days ago is very closely inspired by it. If the latter foreshadows a future Tesla-eating electric sedan (another one!), we wondered what an e-Legend could look like with the features of the Inception.

Restyled Rolls Royce Cullinan
Impressive, colossal, imposing, adjectives abound to describe the first SUV from the Goodwood firm. But there is one that doesn’t really seem appropriate: elegant. Finesse is not really his thing. The mid-career restyling could be quite deep and there is no doubt that it should take up some of the gimmicks of the 100% electric Specter coupe unveiled at the end of last year. With double-stage headlights, tapered on the upper part, which should somewhat refine its features.

Volkswagen ID. Buzz GTX
Nice modern adaptation of the famous Combi, the ID. Buzz is all about her looks. The 204 hp of its only electric version are not too much to drive the rear wheels. For those who find that it lacks character (and that it is not expensive enough…), it turns out that Volkswagen is preparing an “edgy” version of its zero-emission van. A variant that would definitely be called GTX (a name attributed to the 100% electric GTI badged VW) and which could benefit from an additional engine on the front axle and develop the whopping 340 hp. All that’s left is a proper outfit…
And precisely, here is what it could look like:
