Toulouse ZFE: the pass for driving with a prohibited vehicle is available

Owners of Crit’Air 4, 5 and unclassified vehicles according to this system circulating in Toulouse and its surroundings can breathe a little. Indeed, a derogation to circulate within the perimeter of the low-emissions zone of Toulouse Métropole has just been set up.

Voted in December 2022, this derogation makes it possible to circulate within the limit of 52 days per year in this ZFE. Or one per week on average. A pass open to all motorists and free. To obtain it, a form has been online since Monday, January 23, on the Toulouse Métropole website.

The process is relatively simple. You must first connect via your MonToulouse or France Connect account. Then you have to provide various information about your vehicle (registration, make, Crit’Air vignette, etc.) before downloading a scan or photo of the gray card. Finally, the motorist in question must select the days on which he wishes to circulate in the ZFE.

A pass to keep to circulate in the ZFE of Toulouse

A pass to treasure in the event of an adventure within the perimeter of the Toulouse ZFE. In fact, it allows to escape a hefty fine of 135 euros. Checks are currently being carried out by the police. However, this should change in the second half of 2024, with the arrival of automatic checks.

Launched in March 2022, the Toulouse Métropole low-emissions zone is reinforced since January 1, 2023. It now concerns all vehicles classified with a Crit’Air sticker 4, 5 or those which are not classified. Thus, the owners of these vehicles (whether it concerns cars or motorcycles) no longer have the right to enter the perimeter of the ZFE.

Remember that Low Emission Zones have been set up in agglomerations of more than 150,000 inhabitants. What will concern 45 areas in France by 2025. Their aim is to restrict traffic to vehicles considered to be the most polluting, in order to improve air quality.
