Dacia stands out on two counts. On the one hand, the thermal city car Sandero dominated the entire French market last January, on the other hand its emission-free alter ego, the Spring, also tops the bill in terms of 100% electric sales.
The Dacia Spring leader with 13% market share
According to the latest figures provided by the AAA Data organization, the Dacia Spring totaled 1,911 registrations in France during the month of January 2023. Within an overall volume of 14,629 units, this represents a market share of 13 %.
Fiat and Renault on the podium, Peugeot behind
The electric model of the Romanian manufacturer integrated into the Renault group is well ahead of its first two pursuers. On the second step of the podium, we find the Fiat 500 (1598 registrations), just ahead of the Renault Megane-E (1506 registrations). Peugeot comes in 4th position with the e-208 (1336 registrations).

The leading quartet is credited with a very significant gap with all the models that follow. In order, we list the recent MG4 (686), the Renault Zoe (646), the Renault Twingo (543) and the Peugeot 2008 (441). The Tesla Model Y ranks 9th (424) ahead of the very recent Hyundai Ioniq 6 (282).
