Ionity has just added 32 charging stations on the A7, between Montélimar and Avignon, with powers up to 350 kW.
Crossing France in the north/south direction (and vice versa) with an electric vehicle is becoming easier thanks to the arrival of new “XXL” charging stations along the motorways. A few days after Fastned, Ionity has just inaugurated its largest French (and even European) site.
It is located along the A7, near the town of Mornas, located a few kilometers before Orange. A strategic location therefore, because it is “a key point on the route to Southern Europe for most international travelers”.
More specifically, the consortium has opened two sister stations in the Mornas Les Adrets and Mornas Village areas, with a total of 32 high-power chargers, 16 in each direction. This power can reach 350 kW (but this will of course depend on the vehicle connected).
Stations with free access are covered with a roof equipped with solar panels, practical for being sheltered when recharging. These stations integrate credit card payment options (this will be the case for all new Ionity sites).
In France, there are 120 Ionity charging stations, for a total of 576 active charging points. 10 stations are under construction. The consortium says it is “looking for new complementary partnerships with various landowners, including commercial areas, hotels and municipalities”.
