Alfa Romeo will release the next Giulia in an electric version, and the sedan will have a sporty version. This ‘zero emission’ Giulia QV will boast some impressive specs.
The Alfa Romeo Giulia returned in modern form in 2016. The life of this latest thermal version is nearing its end, and the next generation will be electric. It was Jean-Philippe Imparato, CEO of the brand, who confirmed this.
The firm needs to make a transition to gain a new audience, and this Giulia EV will be very important. We already know that it will have an 800 V architecture, which promises fast charging.
The one that will use the new generation of STLA platform from Stellantis will also have its QV version. The Quadrifoglio Verde badge is Alfa Romeo’s sporting name, and such a version will also arrive in electric.
A battery pack of 100 kWh or more should take its place in the sports sedan. Indeed, Imparato announces impressive performance figures for the future Giulia QV.
The Frenchman promises electric motors with at least 1000 horsepower. In addition, the autonomy should be 700 kilometers between two recharges, assures the boss of Alfa. It will be the second electric Alfa Romeo, after the Brennero which should arrive next year.
