Displayed from €75,500, the Lexus RZ is not particularly cheap. But do we find even more expensive than him?
Announced at the end of last year and officially unveiled last April, the very first 100% electric model from Lexus, the RZ SUV, is entering the catalog. Its first price of €75,500 is high, we suspected a little (and this means that it is not eligible for the ecological bonus but, there too, this is not a surprise), remains to be know if it is well placed against the competition?
A reduced range
A single power level (313 hp), a single transmission offered (an all-wheel drive), a single battery with a capacity of 71.4 kWh borrowed from the Toyota bZ4X, two trim levels and three options (including two reserved for the finish base and the third free only on the higher livery), you will not spend hours concocting the RZ of your dreams.
With so few supplements, we imagine that the endowment is rich, it is the case. From the Luxury level, there are 18″ rims, metallic paint, an electric tailgate, a large 14″ screen compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay (wireless) or even leather-like upholstery and heated seats. The Executive model adds a more advanced sound system signed Mark Levinson, a head-up display, ventilated front seats while the rims are larger (20″), the panoramic roof becomes blackout or the electric tailgate is controlled with the foot .
The prices of the Lexus RZ 450e
- Luxury finish: €75,500
- Finition Executive : 85 000 €
Its much more expensive rivals
With 4.80 m long, the RZ is not a small vehicle. But its main rivals are even bulkier: 4.91 for the Audi Q8 e-tron and 4.92 m for the BMW iX. However, these extra 10 centimeters are not worth the prices charged. The Propeller model starts at €84,200 in its “basic” version with 326 hp and a 76.6 kWh battery. As for the SUV at the Rings, you have to spend the trifle of 86,700 €. Yes, it makes 339 hp and its battery is much bigger (95 kWh). But all the same. Finally, the RZ is almost given when you think about it…
