Two new websites have been launched to make it easier to book an appointment to get the vaccine. One identifies the availability in the department for eligible people, the other fights against wasted doses by creating a waiting list of volunteers.
Many people complain about social networks difficulty finding an appointment to be vaccinated. Different centers are present on different platforms, forcing patients to connect to multiple sites to try to find a niche. In order to simplify this system and help eligible people to get an appointment, the CovidTracker site, which makes it possible to consult the data on the evolution of pandemic in France, has just put a new tool online.
The tool is called Quick My Dose and lists all the appointments offered on the platforms Doctolib, Maiia, Keldoc and Ordoclic. The tool is only intended for eligible people, namely those over 70 and over 50 suffering from one or more comorbidités, and people of all ages with pathology at high risk. All you have to do is select your department to display the list of the next available appointments. The site also displays statistics at national and departmental level with the total number of centers detected, as well as the number and percentage of those with availability.
A list of volunteers to avoid wasting doses
For people who are not yet eligible for vaccine, the site Covidliste allows you to register on a waiting list. Because of strict storage conditions, opened vaccine vials cannot always be fully used on time and doses are lost. To avoid this waste, the site connects volunteers with the centers of vaccination who have excess doses.
When a center has a surplus, the site sends a link that allows you to confirm your availability. However, you must respond quickly, otherwise it will be assigned to another volunteer. It is then the vaccination center who will take care of your case and schedule your second dose.
