A spectacular new paint job for the Tesla Model S and Model X

Tesla has finally added new paint to models rolling out of its Fremont factory. Called “Red Ultra”, this beautiful tint is available as an option on Model S and Model X.

For years, Tesla has offered the same color scheme to all its cars assembled in California at its Fremont plant. While there have been some changes to what’s standard or optional and how much it costs in the latter case, the five shades have always remained the same.

Two new paints were finally presented last year, Midnight Cherry Red and Quicksilver, but they were reserved only for the Model Y Grande Autonomie and Performance built on the Berlin site. So as not to make anyone jealous, whether among the models or the customers, it is now the turn of the Model S and Model X, in Long Autonomy or Plaid versions, to be able to now be ordered covered with a new Rouge Ultra invoiced 3,200 € and which replaces the Rouge Multi-Couches at 2,000 €. And check the option has the good taste not to extend the delivery times set today for April/June 2023.

Compared to the latter, this Red Ultra, which is reminiscent of Mazda’s incredible Soul Red Crystal, is more vibrant and darker, but not as much as the Model Y’s Midnight Cherry Red. in any case a spectacular painting that goes particularly well with the slender line of the Model S whose design seems to age gracefully. What do you think ?
