On March 21, Ford will officially present its new electric SUV based on the Volkswagen ID.4. In the meantime, the model is discovered little by little in a series of teasers.
For fresh information on future Fords, it seems that the best way to follow is to subscribe to Martin Sander’s Twitter account. The head of Ford’s “Model e” electric branch in Europe is posting more and more pictures of the next electric SUV, whose presentation is imminent.
Imminent presentation
“ONLY TWO WEEKS left until we reveal our new European-made electric vehicle for our European customers,” Sander claims in his tweet. The man poses proudly alongside the SUV, still partly hidden. The blue tarpaulin is raised slightly, so as to show the logo “slightly refreshed in glossy white for a new generation of electrics” according to the boss of Ford Model e. This one, rather wide and flat, is placed on a closed grille, electric requires. Under the license plate, a horizontal air intake that incorporates a radar for driving aids.
ONLY TWO MORE WEEKS to go until we reveal our brand-new #EV made in Europe for European customers.
It will proudly display the @Ford Blue Oval – refreshed in brilliant white for a new generation of #EVs.

This isn’t the first time Martin Sander has posted photos on Twitter. Last December, he had already shown a piece of the headlight and the bumper of this SUV whose name we do not yet know. Some rumors evoke the return of an old surname of Ford, like Cougar, Sierra or Scorpio. In terms of style, Ford’s new SUV should abandon the curves of the Volkswagen ID.4 from which it borrows the MEB platform for more angular and massive lines.
Martin Sander gives us an appointment on March 21 to discover his future model, in full this time. Unless he can’t resist the urge to flick it again on Twitter!
