Subscription to a mobile plan: can we retract?

Do you want to withdraw after subscribing to a mobile plan? Here are the steps to follow to achieve this.

Have you changed your mind after subscribing to a new mobile plan? Be aware that it often happens that you subscribe to a mobile plan without really taking the time to fully understand the terms of the offer or without being fully aware of your communication needs. If you find yourself in this situation and you wish to withdraw, here is how to proceed:

Check the withdrawal deadlines:

According to the provisions of the Consumer Code, you have a period of 14 calendar days, from the date of subscription to your mobile plan, to withdraw without having to justify your decision. Do not delay in notifying your withdrawal, because if you exceed the deadline provided for in the contract, termination fees will be imposed on you.

Contact your operator to inform you of your withdrawal request:

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must make your request by chat, telephone, online or send a letter to your mobile operator. You can write your own letter, use a model letter available online or complete a withdrawal form if possible and send it to your operator.

Return your equipment:

If you have received equipment as part of your mobile plan, avoid using it, as you must return it to your operator within 14 days of your withdrawal request in excellent condition, otherwise you will have to reimburse its cost.

Request a refund of your deposit:

If you paid a deposit when subscribing to your mobile plan, you are entitled to a full refund of this deposit during the 14 days following your request for withdrawal.

The steps to cancel your mobile offer vary according to each operator. If you wish to cancel your mobile plan, here are the steps to follow according to the main operators on the market:

To cancel any mobile order placed on the online store or with your Orange customer service, you must give notice of 21 days from the date of your order for any change of mind, whatever the pattern.

  • If you are a new customer or you have purchased a piece of equipment alone (mobile, accessory, etc.) and you have changed your mind, you can file your withdrawal request online from the order tracking area on the follow-up site. .orange.fr.
  • If you are already an orange customer and you have just changed your offer (with or without mobile, accessory or equipment) and you have changed your mind, simply contact your customer service by chat, telephone or post.

You must return the equipment within 14 days from the date of your withdrawal, by post only and at your expense. After returning the equipment concerned to Orange, you will be reimbursed using the same means of payment as that used when ordering.

Note that the withdrawal does not apply to purchases made in store.

If you wish to withdraw or cancel your mobile plan with SFR, within the framework of a subscription made by telephone or online, you have a legal withdrawal period of 14 calendar days, from the date of receipt of your equipment.

  • If your order is still in progress and you have not yet received your package, you can go to the dedicated page, identify yourself by indicating your order number and your name indicated during the subscription, then click on “Cancel your order” or “Retract your order”. After confirmation, you will be refunded within 14 days.
  • If your order has already been delivered to you, you may not receive or abandon your package at your relay point. You will be refunded within 14 days following the date of return of your parcel, using the same method of payment as when you subscribed, after verification of the conformity of the parcel.
  • If you have recovered the package, return it by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt, within 14 days. Return costs are your responsibility.

It should be noted that SFR reserves the right not to refund any non-compliant product.

You have the right to withdraw without giving any reason, if you have subscribed to a mobile plan with Bouygues Télécom, by telephone or on the internet. You have 14 days to inform the operator of your withdrawal by telephone by calling 1064 or by sending a withdrawal form to the address “Bouygues Telecom – Service Client – TSA 59013 – 60643 Chantilly Cedex.

If your order includes equipment (mobile phone, SIM card), you must return it within 14 days of your withdrawal, in its original packaging in a registered parcel with acknowledgment of receipt to the address “Cordon Electronics – SAV Retour 14 Rue de la Violette Quai Building A2 – ZI De Quevert 22100 Quevert”. In the event of non-receipt of the material within this period, you will be invoiced. However, you do not need to return the SIM card. The refund will be made by the same means of payment as the one you used when placing your order.

You have the right to withdraw from a free mobile plan without giving any reason, in the case of a remote order, within 14 days from the day of receipt of your equipment or the day of the order. You must first notify your decision to withdraw through an unambiguous declaration, or by using the withdrawal form provided by the operator, to the address Free Mobile – Rétractation – 75371 Paris Cedex 08 France.

If you have received equipment as part of your package, you must reimburse it or return it in excellent condition, along with all its accessories, no later than 14 days following the communication of your decision to withdraw, to the address Free 77581 Savigny Le Temple Cedex. If you do not receive the equipment within this period, you will be invoiced.
