Each region of the world has its particularities and above all a specific fauna. In Australia, it is not uncommon to give way to a snake or a tarantula, well in Alaska, sled dogs are in the spotlight.
On February 24, the author of this video was stopped in the middle of his journey by a policeman. The latter is in the middle of the road to regulate traffic and to cross a somewhat special convoy.
We are in Alaska, in the month of February, so there is snow all around. And if we don’t think about it at first, it is finally almost logical to see sled dogs disembarking in the middle of the road. The animals are well attached with each other and therefore tow a sled with a man on it.
The scene is absolutely unlikely, but in Alaska it seems quite commonplace.
According to the author of the video, it was not just an isolated event. These sled dogs actually participated in the annual race held in the city of Anchorage.
The “Fur Rondy” makes sled dogs and their masters compete in the city center. So inevitably, the police are obliged to regulate traffic. What a classic Sunday.
