In the 1960s, Porsche modified Volkswagen Combis to accompany its track racers in competition. Quite secret vehicles until the appearance, a little over two years ago, of a mysterious Porsche Sport Tourer Renndienst concept car: this study of style has put the vans of assistance. For the 75th anniversary of the car manufacturer, Porsche in the Netherlands has decided to tap into the heritage of the brand and revive the Volkswagen Renndienst. The manufacturer naturally turned to the brand new ID. Buzz, the perfect candidate for this marketing mission.

The Volkswagen van therefore takes up the colorimetry and writing of the illustrious assistance vans. But the modifications do not go further: the new Volkswagen Renndienst is not raised and does not have a raised roof. Also, it is based on the 1st Max version, and not on the Cargo version.
It is therefore only a distant evocation, created for promotional purposes on various events organized by the manufacturer. These shuttles like no other will thus be used to transport people around the circuits, in the greatest of silences. No skin should be offered for sale for interested customers, while Porsche is still formally opposed to the production of a utility.
