For the first time in its history, Saudi Arabia is preparing to host a Formula 1 Grand Prix. The only thing is, a few months ago, the infrastructure did not even exist.
A new urban race, this is what awaits the pilots with the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix this Sunday, December 5. The 20 single-seaters will therefore be driving at full speed in the streets of Jeddah, on a circuit built from scratch in just a few months.
And to achieve this result, thousands of workers worked hard for 9 months on the shores of the Red Sea. Very recently, the official Grand Prix account therefore posted a video of this timelapse work and you will see, it is striking.
You can see the route gradually forming, transforming the coastal landscape with it.
From April to December⏳, this is the story of how the world’s longest and fastest street circuit came to be built in record-breaking fashion🚧🏗.

The theater of the Hamilton-Verstappen clash
Penultimate Grand Prix of the season, the brand new Jeddah circuit should therefore be the site of yet another battle between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen for the title.
The British pilot is currently second in the standings just 12 points behind the leader at Red Bull. So who will take the advantage? Answer this Sunday from 6:25 p.m.
And that the most skeptical be reassured, if the infrastructures do not seem completely finished yet, the track will be there.
