On the occasion of the 21st round of the 2021 championship, Formula 1 goes to the unprecedented Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Here is the TV program for practice and qualifying.
After the Grand Prix of Qatar, Formula 1 is once again heading to an unprecedented destination: the Jeddah route in Saudi Arabia. The latter hosts the 21st round of the 2021 Formula 1 World Championship.
Less than a week ago, concern still reigned around this ordeal. The circuit was still under construction. But in the end the authorities succeeded in their bet by completing the Jeddah route on time. Walls, little space and few landmarks, we find the paces of Valencia for the old ones or of Sochi. It is therefore a huge challenge that awaits the pilots once again.
The duel between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen will therefore be animated by the discovery of a new route. But the Briton has a slight advantage over his rival: the layout of Jeddah is mainly made up of straight lines. Based on simulations, pilots will be fully on the accelerator pedal 79% of the time. Management and power will therefore be the key to success this weekend. A godsend for the Mercedes bearing the number 44 which will once again put on its powerful engine for the Brazilian Grand Prix, to give Lewis Hamilton maximum luck at the end of the season.
This weekend will also allow us to return to Formula 2, which is making a comeback after more than a month of absence. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will give way to the grand final for the sister category. Who will Oscar Piastri, Guanyu Zhou or even Théo Pourchaire be sacred?
As usual, and until 2024, Grand Prix weekends are broadcast on Canal +. The Saudi Arabian Grand Prix is no exception. While the most keen on streaming will be able to follow all the sessions from the application MyCanal or the F1 TV service. However, beware of the French public who will find, this weekend, slightly shifted schedules at the end of the afternoon.
