Now under the control of KG Mobility, Ssangyong resumes its launch program. After the Korando, its brand new large SUV Torres is going electric under the acronym EVX.
Presented in June 2022, the Ssangyong Torres was supposed to represent the new generation of models from the Korean SUV specialist. New design, new equipment, but above all the promise of more electric models. At the Seoul Motor Show at the end of the month, Ssangyong will present the Torres EVX, an electric version of this 4.70 m long SUV.
For the moment, the manufacturer does not communicate any technical details in terms of motors, batteries, autonomy or load. Until March 30, we will therefore content ourselves with a few illustrations which show that for the EVX, Ssangyong has gone a little further than the blue finishes of the Korando eMotion. We thus find a face reviewed more in depth. The traditional grille with 6 vertical bars (from the beginnings of the brand, linked to Jeep) is symbolized by the luminous line in 6 dotted lines. And inside, the switch to electric is reflected in the more visible presence of screens, grouped under a single slab.
The brand’s next electric model will come from the X200 project, a model with a more typical off-road look that will be directly inspired by the first generations of Korando.
