How do I get my green card?
L’insurance certificatee is generally sent automatically, within fifteen days of taking out a new contract. In the meantime, a provisional certificate is provided to you, to be printed yourself, which then has the same value as the final document. If you find that you have not received anything, you can then send a formal notice by registered mail with acknowledgment of receipt to your company. If you do not get any response, you will then need to contact the mediator, whose contact details are listed in the general conditions of your contract.
What to do in case of loss?
If you have lost your green card or if you have been the victim of theft, you will need to go to the police station quickly to report it. A receipt serving as proof will then be given to you by the police or gendarmerie, allowing you to move around while awaiting receipt of your new insurance certificate. At the same time, you will also need to contact your insurance company, who will send you a duplicate within 15 days.
