Citroën is offering buyers of one of its electric vehicles the opportunity to also take advantage of discounted train travel.
To convince customers who are reluctant to switch to electric, brands offer the one-time loan of a thermal model that allows you to continue to make a few long journeys without stress during the year. This is found, for example, at Citroën. But the chevron brand also had the idea of combining the electric car with the train.
This is an additional offer within the framework of the “Citroën Citizen Services” program, which brings together under the same banner “a set of services aimed at offering relaxed and responsible mobility”. Thus, for the purchase of an electric version of the C4 (classic or X) or the Berlingo, customers will benefit from advantageous prices on the train for four years.
Citroën highlights the fact that customers seek to diversify the means of transport, by choosing the solution best suited to the journey to be made. It is therefore difficult for many French people to do without a car, even the latter may be used less by associating it with public transport offers.
The train can thus be the ecological solution for long distance travel, especially since the brand’s electric models are still limited on this point. A new version of the C4 still offers a little over 400 km of autonomy, but it’s complicated to cross France, especially with a maximum charging power of 100 kW.
The idea is nice but be careful, the train is not offered. In fact, customers are offered a discount card that allows them to have a 30% discount. Or the operating principle of the reduction card already available at the SNCF. And Citroën says the card costs €49 per year, so it doesn’t even seem to be offered by the brand.
