The adventurous version of the Ami will once again be available for sale. This time, the price exceeds €10,000!
Almost a year ago, Citroën launched an ultra-limited version of the Ami, the My Ami Buggy: 50 copies only, which sold out in a few minutes on the brand’s website. A success which obviously prompted Citroën to offer a new batch. And this time, there will be many more, since Citroën will produce 1000 copies, which will be sold in ten countries.
With this finish, the Ami looks like an adventurer. The 2023 version retains the look of that of 2022, with a khaki exterior color, some yellow stickers and golden rims. The particularity of the My Ami Buggy is of course its “open air” concept, which evokes the Méhari.
So there are no doors. These are replaced by mini-gates, supermarket entrance style! But this year, new plastic covers fitted with zippers have been designed to protect the occupants in the event of bad weather.
Citroën has also developed a new roof closing device, which is easier to use. The hood now closes with a zipper. The revised roof frame extends forward, forming a sun visor for the driver and passenger.

On board, the instrumentation on the steering column has been redesigned, with a small retro-inspired cap. There is new storage, fixed in the hollow of the steering wheel (the Ami does not have an airbag). It’s a small satchel, held in place by clip-on backpack straps that wrap and attach around the two arches. This bag can then be carried by the driver when he leaves the cockpit. Customers also benefit from an “Ultimate Ears Boom” portable Bluetooth speaker.
L’Ami Buggy will again be available for order only online, from June 20, 10 a.m. Deliveries will begin in September.
The bad surprise is that the price increases further and passes a symbolic milestone: that of €10,000. This 2023 version costs €10,490, compared to €9,790 in 2022.
