Cycling on the road presents many dangersbut having to avoid the winch of a tow truck in the middle of the road is not among the first ideas that come to mind.
And yet, these cyclists had the right to quite a surprise during their little ride.
While a tow truck was trying to pull a trailer onto the bed of his truck, the two-wheelers offered themselves some memorable sunshine. The latter had not seen the winch stretched just above the roadway, so they had a spectacular fall and, after that, they can thank their helmets greatly!
Two out of four bikes were trapped by this strained winch. No serious injuries, but a few sores to treat on returning home, that’s for sure.
At a certain pace, seeing the cable in the middle of the road could be trickybut it is assumed that with a little more care, the accident was preventable.
Nevertheless, cyclists are absolutely not at fault and the towman didn’t have to hoist his winch in the middle of the road that way.
