Skoda offers the Enyaq a high-end Laurin & Klement finish, which gains in refinement but also in performance thanks to a more powerful engine and a new battery.
Unlike other models in the range such as the Superb or Kodiaq, the Skoda Enyaq did not have the high-end Laurin & Klement finish, named after the brand’s founders Václav Laurin and Václav Klement. It is now done, with the Enyaq L&K. In addition to receiving numerous equipment and refinements, this series inaugurates two new versions with new engines and batteries.
In terms of looks, first of all, the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupé inherit “Platinum Gray” details on the redesigned bumpers, the diffuser or the exterior mirrors. The side sills are painted in the color of the bodywork, while the contours of the windows and the grille as well as the roof bars are chrome. The grille is also supplied as standard in a “Crystal Face” lit version with 131 LEDs. The SUV also receives Matrix LED headlights, LED lights and specific 20-inch rims (or 21-inch optional). An “L&K” badge is placed on the front fenders, while the “iV” suffix has disappeared from the Enyaq name and tailgate, like all future electric Skodas.
A cabin upholstered in beige or black leather
On board, the Enyaq L&K receives a beige leather interior as standard, or black as an option. The front seats are electric, heated, massaging and ventilated as standard. Skoda announces that it has revised the infotainment, with a clearer and easier to use interface. New icons for shortcuts to vehicle settings, home or applications are, for example, integrated into the corners of the screen.
The Skoda Enyaq L&K takes the opportunity to inaugurate new engines, in order to gain in performance and autonomy. It thus releases an “85” version with rear-wheel drive and an “85x” with all-wheel drive and two motors, offering a maximum power of 210 kW (286 hp) for 30 seconds, if the battery is charged at more than 88%. The propulsion variant, with a single rear engine, is placed above the current “80” variant. It would offer up to 570 km, thus exceeding the Tesla Model Y (533 km in Long Autonomy version). The maximum speed is increased to 180 km / h, and the 0 to 100 km / h is done in 6.7 s, two seconds less than the current Enyaq iV 80. The 85x variant with all-wheel drive, equipped with two motors, reaches 100 km/h in 6.6 s and offers 550 km of autonomy.
Marketing and prices to come
This new engine, in addition to other adjustments such as preheating the battery before charging or the revised display of infotainment and digital counters, will enrich the entire Enyaq range from this year. For the moment, we do not know the details of the prices, neither of this L&K finish, nor of the “85” and “85x” versions.
