The police went to the scene to control the situation, but stopping the cow and her pursuer was no small feat as these pictures show.
Finally, after long minutes of pursuit away from the farm, the cowboy managed to catch Lester with his lasso. The animal then stopped on a small patch of grass between the lanes of the highway and the police were able to secure the situation.
There were no injuries to report, but witnesses will certainly remember this improbable chase.
