[EN VIDÉO] Interview 3/5: positive energy buildings, a first step towards sustainable development? How to manage the energy consumption of buildings? What are the energy strengths and weaknesses…
The building sector generates 23% of greenhouse gas emissions French, including 50% is emitted during construction. Knowing in addition that 46 million tons of waste are produced each year by the sector, the start-up Carbon Saver had the good idea to develop a tool to help decision-making in environmental matters before the renovation or construction of a building. The Bat’Impact thus makes it possible to assess the environmental impact of an interior design project without being an expert in environmental engineering.
Designed in partnership with the eco-design agency MU Cooperative, the tool questions architects about the elements that have the greatest impact and allows them to make judicious choices regarding materials or best practices right from the design phase, thanks to visual indicators and a detailed report. The little extra: the Bat’Impact score changes in real time if certain answers to the questions are modified, which gives the possibility of improving its impact from the design phase to the implementation of the work!
