Good news, the Christmas vacation finally arrive! From Saturday December 18 to Monday January 3, 2022, the three school zones will be on vacation at the same time, in order to celebrate the end of year holidays. You plan to go to celebrate the Christmas Eve with your relatives or friends? It is an excellent idea ! But if everything is already ready, including the freebies, have you thought about looking at the traffic forecast? Don’t panic, the situation on the roads shouldn’t be too difficult according to smart one. No major departures that will paralyze the roads, but some small traffic jams expected in the Paris region on December 17, especially at the end of the afternoon. On the other hand, all of France will be classified green in both directions the rest of the time, with a few exceptions.
Surprisingly, no rush for Christmas, contrary to what we might have thought, except for a few slowdowns on December 23 in the Paris region in the direction of departures. The biggest traffic jams will be on Sunday, December 26, with France all orange in the direction of departures, while only Île-de-France will be slowed in the direction of returns. Finally, distrust on Sunday January 2, the last day of the holidays. The entire territory will then be classified orange in the direction of returns.
