Pandora will now be Mountaineers. the Ministry of the Interior unveils on Friday morning all the information on the A110s which will now equip the rapid intervention teams of the Gendarmerie.
We already know that 26 vehicles will be allocated to the police. Their mission will in particular be the interception of drug carriers on the motorway.
The soldiers will receive their vehicles in a few weeks. Assembled in the Alpine factory in Dieppe, they are prepared by the Durisotti company.
This morning, the Minister of the Interior Gérald Darmanin, the director general of the National Gendarmerie, Christian Rodriguez and the boss of Alpine, Laurent Rossi, give more details on the deployment of the vehicles. The platoons from Châteauroux and Salon-de-Provence are the first to officially receive their Alpine.
In the 1960s and 1970s, the gendarmes had already benefited from the A110 (called “Berlinette”) then the A310 for their patrols.
