The new generation of the Santa Fe will be available in 2024 in Europe, with a technical offer similar to the current one.
Two weeks ago, Hyundai released the first official photos of the fifth-generation Santa Fe, to focus attention on the vehicle’s quirky (and very angular) look. The brand went into more detail this time, before the start of marketing at home in South Korea. Europe will be served during the first half of 2024.
Unsurprisingly, the firm confirms that the European range will be fully “hybridized”. And the model will always offer a double offer: simple hybrid and rechargeable hybrid. But as the brand obviously always likes to do things by halves, it does not say everything on the technical sheet!
We just know that the base of the two offers remains a 1.6 turbo thermal block. Currently, the Santa Fe is available as a 230 hp simple hybrid and a 265 hp plug-in hybrid. There is a good chance that these powers will not change. Small indication for performance: 0 to 100 km / h is achieved in 9.5 seconds in simple hybrid and 9.1 seconds in plug-in hybrid.

Hyundai goes into more dimensional detail. The vehicle stretches over 4.83 meters, a size that ultimately remains reasonable in the category. It benefits from a large wheelbase of 2.82 meters and a good height of 1.72 m (excluding roof bars). The manufacturer thus wanted to maximize the space on board. The vehicle can accommodate 7 people.
The brand will offer a 6-seater configuration, with two independent seats in the second row. These offer a Relaxation mode, so that the seat cushion can be tilted for a relaxed position. The front seats may have a footrest. Those in the third row have a reclining seatback. In 5-seater configuration, the trunk is huge with 725 litres.
Among the tech treats, there will be a remote parking system, which is controlled from outside the vehicle, or an on-board access system via smartphone.
