Fisker has released new photos and information of its pickup, which is due to launch in 2025.
During its “Product Vision Day”, Fisker lifted the veil on its next three models, without going into details. It was to do it better little by little. So, after the info on the GT Ronin, here is a focus on the Alaska, the pick-up.
The vehicle is 5.30 meters in length. This template therefore places it more in front of a Ford Ranger than a Ford F-150, the king of pickups in the United States. But it may be a wise choice from Fisker, since the Ranger’s size is much more international. And if Ford already offers an electric F-150, this is not yet the case with the Ranger. The Blue Oval still has time to react, however, as Fisker hopes to start Alaska production in early 2025.
The manufacturer already announces two battery sizes: 75 and 113 kWh. It thus aims for autonomy ranging from 370 to 550 km approximately. In terms of performance, depending on the version, it will take about 4 to 7.2 seconds to do the 0 to 100 km/h. Alaska is built on a platform derived from that of the Ocean. Fisker wants to make it the lightest electric pickup on the market.
The important thing on a pick-up is of course the dumpster. This is modular thanks to a wall that disappears. The window merges into this wall, which then folds up towards the passenger compartment. To protect the latter, protections are deployed towards the rear doors and behind the front seats. A flat surface is thus obtained, with a minimum length of 1.37 m increased to 2.80 meters once the skip is open. The electric motor makes it possible to have a safe under the front bonnet.
Fisker Ronin: the electric supercar that can go from Paris to Bordeaux without recharging
In terms of looks, the Alaska looks like a concept car, with many light effects, even in the dumpster. Depending on the variants, there will be 20 or 22 inch rims. A large touch screen is in the center of the dashboard. Fisker has provided several practical aspects, such as an XXL drink holder or a hat holder on the back!
The model is available for reservation, including on the French site, but with a deposit in $ (250).
