Drunk, he steals a tow truck then a police car to get away

After having committed several offenses in Ille-et-Vilaine with friends, the young man of 24 years said to himself that it was better to flee and return home to Nantes.

Without a permit, but full of resources, the fugitive first left Bain-de-Bretagne aboard a Peugeot 307, refusing a first check with the gendarmes.

Only here, a few kilometers further, in the town of Grand-Fougeray, the offender runs out of fuel. He then calls a tow truck for a very specific purpose.

When the professional arrives, the young man plays with him and discreetly takes the driver’s seat before packing up with the tow truck as reported West France.

An unlikely epic

Driving a tow truck without a license, the fugitive obviously managed to cause an accident. Yes, things would have been too simple otherwise…

Luckily, there were no injuries to report, but a gendarme on a liaison mission went to the scene to secure the situation. The young man then takes advantage of the officer’s lack of vigilance to get into his vehicle and flee!

Finally, it was not until the next day that the car thief was arrested at his home in Nantes after the gendarme’s vehicle was located.

Placed in custody in the process, he will be tried very soon in immediate appearance.
