It is a message that cannot fail to be noticed. At the Super U petrol station in Pégomas (Alpes-Maritimes), a small note appeared on all the pumps. An astonishing message, which leaves no one indifferent, as to the fact of… throwing your receipt on the ground. Indeed, here is what we can read about the pumps of this establishment:
“THROWING YOUR TICKET ON THE FLOOR CAN CAUSE A HEMORRHOID ATTACK! If you don’t want one, just select the no ticket option!”
A message that does not fail to make customers react. Some are shocked, when others may find it good. In any case, the presence of this message does not fail to be noticed. Which is the main purpose behind this decision.
Dozens of tickets on the floor every day
Indeed, around twenty tickets are picked up every day on the ground by the teams of this Super U. This therefore prompted the director of the establishment, Claude Véran, to react. He expressed himself on this subject in the columns of Nice morning :
“The idea is not to create a buzz but to make people smile, while fighting against the lack of civility.” “[Les hémorroïdes, c’est] for the really unpleasant side of this evil, which is not the most serious either, but it is above all a joke, to better challenge customers.
However, this does not work completely at the moment. Claude Véran deplores this attitude on the part of customers, which does not only affect his store:
“We still collect about twenty tickets from the ground every day. And this is not specific to our Super U, we deplore it in all the stations. With us, there are still four bins at the level of the pumps, and that does not prevent…”
