The Chinese Zeekr has a very ambitious sales target

By 2025, Zeekr, Geely’s premium electric brand, hopes to reach 650,000 sales. To achieve this, it will launch more mainstream models.

Little builder will become great. And quick. This is the objective of Zeekr, a brand created by Geely, with a premium electric positioning. Zeekr made its debut with the 001, a kind of shooting brake, which caused a lot of talk with its autonomy of 1000 km, but according to the Chinese cycle.

In 2022, Zeekr sold just over 70,000 vehicles. Its goal is to double this score in 2023. And to reach 650,000 sales in 2025! That is a result almost multiplied by ten in three years, and a level similar to European labels that have existed for decades, for example Citroën!

To explode its scores, Zeekr will expand its range. While its first models are rather niche vehicles, the next ones will box in more mainstream categories. It also started with the presentation of the X, a compact crossover. This one is moreover rather designed for Europe and still too compact for China, a country which remains Zeekr’s priority. The manufacturer will thus launch by the end of the year a sedan, then will offer two SUVs.

The brand will also set out to conquer other markets, even if this will be done gently. Pre-orders for the 001 and X launched this summer in Sweden and the Netherlands. Zeekr should arrive here later.
