Zapping Two Wheels Auto Moto Peugeot scooter XP400 test: the first maxi scooter from the lion brand!
To make us wait while waiting for the arrival of the ZX-4R and ZX-6R sports cars, and especially the electric motorcycles made in Akashi, Kawasaki continues to unveil the 2024 versions of its catalog.
The Versys 1000 is a flagship, a great trail designed to swallow up the miles as if nothing had happened. Its voluptuous 4-cylinder and its great comfort take you to the end of the world. The large Versys exists in three versions: standard, S and SE.
Kawasaki Versys 1000, version de base
For those looking to step into the Versys 1000 family, the standard model will be the most affordable, but already well-equipped. There is a power clutch, electronic cruise control, a Kawasaki traction control system with three modes, selectable power modes and standard ABS. In addition, the standard model can be enhanced with various accessory packs that will make it a great traveler: Tourer, Tourer Plus or Grand Tourer pack.
The standard Versys 1000 does not undergo any changes for 2024, retaining its Grey/Black color from the previous year.
The Versys 1000 S, the sports version
The Versys 1000 S, for its part, swaps the analog meter of the standard version for a color TFT screen, connectable via Bluetooth to the Kawasaki Rideology application. It is also equipped with a Quickshifter Up & Down, adaptive LED headlights, and customizable driving modes. In terms of comfort, it is equipped with a height-adjustable windshield, hand guards, and heated grips.
Versys 1000 SE, controlled suspensions
The Versys 1000 SE adds an extra layer of comfort, taking up all the features of the S version, but adding Showa electronic suspensions, just to attack a little on the back roads…
Colors and prices of these Versys 1000
These Versys 1000 S and SE models get a cosmetic update with new, more subdued colors for the coming year. Pricing remains unchanged, with a starting price of €15,645 for the S and €17,749 for the SE.
The colors of the Versys 1000 2024 models bring a touch of freshness to the range. The standard model is adorned with a Gray Metallic Matte Graphenesteel dress associated with Black Metallic Spark. As for the S and SE models, they are adorned with Black Metallic Diablo associated with Silver Metallic Phantom, or Gray Metallic Matte Dark associated with Black Metallic Diablo.
On the other hand, the small Versys 650 does not receive new colors it seems this year, which will perhaps be the last?
