Renault Taliant “crossover”
Last year, the readers of Auto-Moto had, without knowing it, become aware of the face of the Renault Kardian that it will share with the facelift of the Taliant sedan. We made this illustration based on camouflaged prototypes seen by our scoop hunters.

For now, the Taliant, intended for the Turkish market, sports the face of the current Clio, before restyling.

But the Taliant is none other than a Logan partly rebodied for the needs of Renault in certain emerging markets.

Dacia Sandero
In the end, in this game of Russian dolls, the future Renault Kardian should be similar to a significantly modified Dacia Sandero, the Losange wishing in the future to differentiate its models more clearly from those of the Romanian manufacturer, when it proceeded most time to a simple rebadging.
A little over a year ago, without knowing it, Auto-Moto readers discovered the face of the man who, on October 25, will officially reveal his lines. Indeed, at the end of August 2022, we were the first media to broadcast an illustration of the 3-volume variant of this future Kardian, based on photos of a camouflaged prototype immortalized by our scoop hunters.
A re-bodied Dacia Sandero, in a way?
There is therefore no doubt that this future Renault Kardian will be extrapolated from the current Renault Taliant, a sort of Clio with trunk reserved for the Turkish market for the time being, and which incorporates many of the architectural elements of the Dacia Logan. The latter being extrapolated from our Sandero, we can therefore consider that this future SUV badged Renault will be similar to a rebody of the famous Romanian city car, particularly in its Stepway variant from which it takes up the roof bars.
A design of its own
For the rest, all the bodywork elements of the Renault Kardian will be specific to it, as evidenced by the style patents that leaked a few months ago. Documents that clearly distinguish the newcomer from the Dacia Sandero by its less plunging bonnet which allows it to reinforce its SUV status by the presence of a very large grille surrounded by very thin daytime running lights, themselves overhanging the main optics . For its part, the stern is more familiar to us as it seems modeled on the Captur. Be that as it may, the Losange is keeping its promises by stopping the simple rebadging of Dacia that it has operated until now for the needs of certain emerging markets. Finally, it remains to take note of its interior and its technical characteristics. For this, it will be necessary to wait until October 25 when the vehicle will be revealed in Rio de Janeiro.
No risk of duplication with the Captur
A lifting of the veil at the other end of the world which probably means that this Renault Kardian will never have the opportunity to tread our latitudes, insofar as the Captur already officiates on this ground. Moreover, the Losange specifies in its press release that it will unveil its international strategy on the occasion of this world premiere.
