Zapping Auto Moto Peugeot 408 test: climb in g(r)ame
This is an amazing story that comes to us from Belgium and concerns an automatic speed camera. This Tuesday, August 29, the Antwerp auction house Hammertime was planning to sell an object of this type. It was even the highlight of the sale in question. So much so that the house in question launched: “Will you be the first Belgian to have a private radar in your garden?”
“I’ve offered just about everything for sale in my career, but never off the radar”, said Steven Teughels, working for Hammertime. A device “delivered fully wired”, which it is therefore possible to restart… or not. Vendors also cater to “haters”…
The municipality opposes the sale of the radar… which will not ultimately be sold
Still, this sale of radar made the buzz… and went up to the ears of the local authorities. Which they didn’t like. Indeed, the mayor of Schoten immediately asked Hammertime to withdraw its flagship object from the sale. The politicians would thus never have approved the sale of this automatic speed camera. Witness the mayor, Maarten De Veuster, for 7sur7.be :
“We will contact Hammertime, as we have no intention of selling radar.” “It may have been said too quickly that whatever is stocked in a particular warehouse will be auctioned off. But the idea is not to sell a radar to someone and then put it there. playing in his garden.”
The radar in question will therefore not be sold. Buyers will therefore be able to turn to other unusual elements. Namely four former service vehicles and fifteen vehicles seized, belonging to the Schoten police. A bulldozer and 250 stolen or abandoned bicycles are also among the lots.
