The MG Cyberster continues to reveal itself, ahead of its commercialization next year. We now know the battery capacity and the range of the electric roadster.
The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Technological Information has given details of the MG Cyberster. Indeed, the government body of the Middle Kingdom has released technical details of the vehicle.
There will be two power ratings available for the highly anticipated electric model. The basic, rear-wheel-drive version will boast 310 horsepower. Customers can also opt for a 4WD version with two motors. The combined power of the rear (336 horsepower) and front (210 horsepower) powertrains will be 536 horsepower.
In both cases, we also learn that the electric roadster will carry a 77 kWh battery. Thanks to this capacity, the ministry shows a range of 579 kilometers for the model.
However, we know that the Chinese approval cycle is somewhat generous. However, we can imagine that it will be able to reach almost 500 kilometers in the WLTP cycle. In the 536-horsepower version, the Cyberster’s range is likely to be a little shorter.
We do not yet know the performance data of the roadster, which will display nearly two tons on the scale. We are also waiting to know the price of the model, which should meet with some success.
