Turn of the screw for the Marseille ZFE: from September 1, Crit’Air 4 vignettes will be banned.
Attention on the side of Marseille: among the changes of the start of the school year, there are the rules of the ZFE. The first bans were put in place on September 1, 2022, with the banning of Crit’Air 5 and unclassified vehicles.
A year later, it’s the second stage of the rocket. From September 1, 2023, Crit’Air 4 will be concerned. This affects diesel vehicles which were first put into circulation between 2001 and 2005. Diesels from before 2006 and petrol from before 1997 will therefore be banned at the start of the school year.
The ZFE of Marseille covers almost 20 km². Its perimeter is delimited by these axes: avenue du Cap Pinède, boulevards Capitaine Gèze and de Plombières, avenue Alexandre Fleming, boulevards Françoise Duparc, Sakakini, Jean Moulin and Rabatau, avenue du Prado 2. The A55 footbridge and the tunnels remain accessible to all vehicles.
There was therefore no question of making the ZFE more flexible on the Marseille side, while the government decided to put water in its wine on this file, by no longer forcing certain cities to set up ZFEs. . But this is not the case for Marseille, which remains on the list of compulsory ZFEs, due to pollution thresholds not being respected.
