Zapping Auto Moto Restyled Peugeot 2008 vs Renault Captur: first static confrontation!
Remember, only a few days ago, a colossal landslide blocked the A 43 motorway. Enough to give very impressive images, without, fortunately, causing any injuries. Since then, this section of the highway has been closed to traffic.
It should last a little longer. Evidenced by Clément Beaune. The Minister Delegate for Transport spoke about this on X (ex-Twitter) on August 31. According to the information given to him, the axis will be returned to traffic in eight days.
“After my exchanges with the elected officials, I indicated:
– a probable reopening of the A43 within 8 days;
– a longer period to restore the movement of trains, of at least 2 months;
– the postponement of the work of the Mont Blanc Tunnel to avoid congestion, in connection with Italy “

The Minister Delegate for Transport was on the move this Thursday, September 31 in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne. Its purpose was to assess the damage and provide support to the teams on site, responsible for restoring the area to good condition. Note that the reopening of the A 43 will be done with protective measures. Containers and sandbags will be placed at the piers of the affected bridge.
An impressive landslide
Remember that on Sunday August 27, a major landslide occurred in the commune of Saint-André, in La Praz, in Savoie. About 10,000 m3 of rocks slipped, 700 m3 of them hitting the protective screen in place at the edge of the A 43. Enough to cause heavy damage and interrupt traffic on this axis.
The RD 1006 was also affected and had to be closed between the RD 1006/RD 215 intersection and the Freney interchange. The traffic of vehicles over 3.5 tonnes was also interrupted in the Fréjus road tunnel, in both directions.
It remains to be seen how this will evolve. In the meantime, find the impressive images of this landslide below:
