Fuel prices: Casino makes an important gesture for motorists

At Casino, the start of the 2023 school year rhymes with an offer for the purchasing power of motorists on fuel. The brand is thus announcing news that will delight the latter: the price of diesel and petrol will be at cost price in the Casino Hyper Frais stores. This every weekend, starting today, Friday September 1st and until the end of October.

In detail, this operation will take place until October 22. It will be conducted every Friday, every Saturday and every Sunday. This applies to all Casino hypermarkets with a service station. Enough to cover many user cases.

On the other hand, some will not be able to take advantage of this measure. Namely motorists driving on LPG and those driving cars running on E85 ethanol. Various modalities are also in place, to be seen in stores. Find precisely the list of participating brands here.

One of the few fuel aids

At a time when fuel prices have returned, for various reasons, to a high level, this is one of the few aids at this level from brands. TotalEnergies is thus capping the price of diesel and petrol at €1.99/L until the end of the year and has reaffirmed its commitment in this regard.

During the summer, E.Leclerc also practiced the fuel policy at cost price on weekends, but this is no longer relevant today. The Casino brands, for their part, used to regularly give out discount coupons to customers coming to fill up with them. A track visibly abandoned today.

Still, fuel at cost is of limited interest to users. However, this allows you to scrape a few welcome pennies. The interest for stores is above all to boost traffic, since motorists regularly fill up and shop at the same time.
