The range of Mitsubishi’s plug-in hybrid compact SUV is now topped by a Black Collection version, with a more chic look.
For the start of the school year, like the schoolchildren, the Eclipse Cross receives new clothes. Mitsubishi adds to the offer the Black Collection, a limited series for the top of the range.
As the name suggests, this variant receives aesthetic elements painted in black. This is the case for the mirror caps, 18-inch alloy wheels and protective plates in the bumpers (front and rear). This model retains the rocker panels and wheel arches covered in grained black plastic. This special series is available in five colors: Diamond Red, Diamond White, Amethyst Black, Titanium Gray and Sterling Silver
The Eclipse Cross takes on a “sport chic” look. This variant is full of equipment, since we have as standard adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross traffic alert, 360° vision, heated rear (side) seats.
Under the hood, nothing moves, the Eclipse Cross is PHEV only. The 2.4 petrol is coupled to two electric motors. The 13.8 kWh battery provides an electric range in the WLTP mixed cycle of 45 km. This model benefits from four-wheel drive.
The price is steep: €48,690. But until December 31, Mitsubishi is offering VAT on the Eclipse Cross range. This must therefore give here a nice discount of around 8,000 €.
