Tesla Model S and Model X: big price drop for the electric sedan and SUV

September 1 is a busy day for Tesla. In addition to the official presentation of the restyled Model 3, the brand is also taking advantage of the start of the school year to review the prices of its other models, the Model S and Model X.

The duo had already significantly lowered its price range since the beginning of 2023, but was still displayed at more than €100,000. Thanks to the spectacular drop of nearly €12,000 for the Model S sedan, and even €13,500 for the large Model X SUV, the two electric cars see their prices drop sharply, below the symbolic cap of €100,000. . Of course, this rate is not within everyone’s reach, and it is well beyond the maximum threshold to benefit from the bonus, but entry-level customers have lost nearly €20,000 since January 2023. That’s enough rare in a manufacturer to be underlined.

The Model S is still available in two versions. The entry-level Model S Dual Motor is displayed from €94,990, and can go up to 723 km on one charge depending on the type of rims chosen. Above, the insane Plaid and its 1,020 hp thanks to three engines, is displayed at €109,990 against €131,490 until now, and even €138,990 at the start of the year! It can reach 600 to 695 km depending on the size of the rims used and does 0 to 100 km/h in 2.1 seconds.

The Model X follows the same recipe, with an entry-level twin-engine variant priced at €99,990, up from €113,490 previously. This is practically the price of the overpowered Plaid version (€114,990), displayed at €131,990 so far. This Plaid version has a range of 543 to 585 km, compared to 576 to 625 km for the standard Model X.
