Zapping Two Wheels Auto Moto Honda Transalp 2023 test: the benchmark trail finally back?
The Indians have big ambitions for their brand, and it’s starting to show. The 450 range will introduce motorcycles with much more modern characteristics than what the brand did until then, like the 450 cc liquid-cooled engine.
Himalayan 450 : la future star
The trail is highly anticipated and should be a bestseller for Royal Enfield, especially with us. The Himalayan 450 version is not just a rebored engine, it’s a complete overhaul of the bike: new modern chassis, new cycle part with inverted fork, liquid-cooled engine, etc. This trail is a small revolution, moreover, we talk about it in another more detailed article.
Guerrilla 450: the chef’s surprise
It’s the little rumor that rises slowly. An unknown name has appeared and appears to be the name of the future Royal Enfield. In any case, this is revealed by Intellectual Property documents in India, unearthed by certain local colleagues.
If we’ve been waiting for a Bobber for some time, it seems that a new roadster is on the way with the new liquid-cooled 450cc single-cylinder engine. We think of a roadster, because the “spyshot” images reveal a motorcycle equipped with 17-inch spoke wheels.
But Guerrilla would sound better for a scrambler, wouldn’t it? The images show that the motorcycle is fitted with tires that appear to be mixed and have a lot of travel for a purely street bike. In this case, what will happen to the Scram around 450?
Scram 450: see you in 2024?
If the Guerrilla becomes a roadster, it is therefore the Scram which will represent the scramblers of the range. By the way, it could benefit from the new chassis and the modernized cycle part that will equip the trail and the mystery bike. The Scram 411 did not meet the expected success in Europe, and perhaps this more modern version will find its audience and a name change will make it possible to forget the failure of the Scram.
Bullet in electric mode?
We also talked about it on the site, Royal Enfield has decided to create a whole range around the mythical model of the Bullet. If they recently presented a new Bullet 350 in India, still on the Meteor 350 platform, we should see other displacements and above all, more surprisingly, an electric version! For a few years, the Indians have been working seriously on the technology and plan to produce the first electric models as early as 2025. In their teasing of the new Bullets, several names have appeared, including that of “Bullet-E”. We will therefore have to prepare for a Bullet that spins without the Poumpoum of its single-cylinder.
In any case, Royal Enfield has decided to impress us and present its new face to us very soon. We will therefore be attentive during the big EICMA show in Milan in November, where some of these new products should be unveiled.
