BMW unveils new navigation system

Imagine exploring the most beautiful places in the world while keeping your destination in sight, all without getting annoyed every time you use your GPS. With BMW ID, all your routes, records and trip plans are synchronized between the Navigator and the BMW Motorrad Connected app. They are therefore accessible at any time, wherever you are. No need to worry about updates anymore, because the Navigator can connect to the Internet and be updated at any time. Navigating has never been easier thanks to your BMW motorcycle’s multi-controller and integration with your smartphone.

The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Navigator features a bright 5.5-inch touchscreen that ensures optimal readability, even in direct sunlight. It fits perfectly with BMW motorcycle screens, ensuring seamless integration to automatically create an additional display, without any further manipulation required. Rustic and IP69 certified, it resists extreme conditions, hot and cold, dust, and can even be washed with a high-pressure water jet. The Navigator has a 3000 mAh battery and is easily charged via the BMW on-board network or using the included USB-C cable.

The Navigator offers integration with your smartphone, allowing you to control and coordinate all of its features centrally. You can control the volume, media applications such as Spotify and phone functions from the Navigator. In addition, all other devices, such as the rider and passenger helmets, as well as the BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Smartglasses, can be connected to the Navigator via Bluetooth and controlled accordingly. You can even access your phone contacts directly from the Navigator for your calls.

Always connected, never lost

The system benefits from quick and easy updates, directly provided by the BMW Motorrad ecosystem. Just like on a smartphone, you will receive notifications for feature and map updates. These updates are installed directly on the Navigator, without requiring a connection to a computer. To stay informed in real time about traffic conditions, the Navigator can connect via a Wi-Fi hotspot or an installed SIM card, even while traveling.

The BMW Motorrad ConnectedRide Navigator is integrated into the MyBMW Cloud, allowing you to synchronize your planned routes, previous trips and much more. You can plan a personalized route from any device, whether it’s the BMW app, a PC browser, etc. These routes are immediately available on all your registered devices. Additionally, you can import routes created on other planning platforms into the BMW Cloud for use on all your registered devices.

This Navigator system is compatible with all BMW motorcycles manufactured from 2014 onwards, subject to certain restrictions. If your motorcycle is equipped with a multi-controller and navigation preparation, or if the latter has been retrofitted as an Original BMW Motorrad Accessory, you can benefit from all the functions of this advanced navigation system.

The system is already available, although the price has not been specified.
