Alfa Romeo
33 Road
Long after the disappearance of the 8C, the Biscione brand returns to the supercar market with a model with a spectacular look and an emblematic name shared with a legendary sports car from the 60s. Its name also tells you the number of copies planned. Ah, they are already all sold…

Audi
Q8 restyled
It could have been visible at the Munich Motor Show, no, the brand with the Rings has apparently favored zero-emission models for the sake of image. Very clever who can distinguish the restyled Q8 from the old one. In addition, the range is even less extensive than before, especially at launch, with the only SQ8 variant available to order.

BMW
Concept Vision New class
No, it is not a novelty strictly speaking but a concept car faithfully foreshadowing what a zero-emission equivalent of the 3 Series which will be released shortly should look like. He was the star of the manufacturer at the Hélice in Munich.

BYD
Seal U
Here is the sixth model from the Chinese giant BYD, still little known in Europe, but with a bright future. It will be marketed next year, at the beginning of the year, and will come into direct confrontation with the world star, we have named the Tesla Model Y. Like the latter, the Seal U will only be offered with electric engines. We were able to approach it during the Munich Motor Show.

No. 1 SUV in its segment, Hyundai has hit hard with its latest generation of Tucson. There is no question of distorting too much its original style which is so popular during the restyling but it will offer a small dose of extra character.

Lotus
Umeya
Lotus’ zero-emission range, currently only made up of the large SUV Eletre, is expanding with the arrival of the Emeya which was unveiled (not in Munich) during the week. Like its brother, its design is spectacular, and much more tapered for more aerodynamics. In addition to the family resemblance, it will take its 905 hp variant from the Eletre. The Porsche Taycan had better watch out!

Mercedes
Mercedes CLA Compact
The current generation of CLA has only just powdered its nose but, already, the Star brand has just shown us what the next version should look like with a concept presented in Munich. In addition to the look from which it will be inspired, the future CLA will mainly take from the show car its new platform with attractive characteristics.

Mercedes
E-Class All-Terrain
Another new Mercedes introduced in Munich, but more anecdotal, the E-Class All-Terrain, rival of the Audi A6 Allroad. The formula doesn’t change: take the E-Class station wagon, add a few stylistic elements characteristic of SUVs, raise this model slightly and you get this All-Terrain. The big novelty of this second version is its rechargeable hybrid engine.

MG Motor
Illustration du futur ZS EV
Recently restyled, launched on our market in 2020 (it is also with this model that MG reconquered Europe), the ZS actually dates from 2017. In China, it was presented in 2016 at the Salon from Guangzhou for marketing the following year. Obviously, in these conditions, it is logical that the next version will arrive soon. Well, it will be in 2024 with a second generation which should be very closely inspired by the already very popular MG4.

Mini
Cooper electric
Its look is no longer a surprise to the extent that leaks were shared a few years ago, the new electric Mini now called Cooper still had a few secrets up its sleeve. Shortly before Munich, where she took her first walkabout, we were able to get up close and personal with her. To know our first impressions, you know what you have to do…

Mini
Countryman
The British brand has struck a double blow. In addition to the presentation of the new generation of zero-emission Mini, it lifted the veil on the third generation of Countryman. The connection with the previous version is obvious. And yet, everything changes, and not just a little!

Illustration of the restyled Qashqai
Renewed from top to bottom in 2021, the Qashqai has never regained the crown which it has already worn several times in the past. The Tucson, we told you, is a success. As for the latest novelties, the Austral, Tiguan or even the new Peugeot 3008 (to be discovered below), they could make life difficult for him. There is no question of resting on your laurels. It is for all these reasons (and more) that it should be overhauled next year.

Peugeot
Nouveau 3008
The SUV star is changing completely. The first official photos attest to this. It turns into an SUV-coupe and could lose some of its family appeal. Space enthusiasts can always fall back on the future 5008 which will be presented later.

Tesla
Model 3
It was rumored that the American brand could present a restyled Model 3 in Munich. We had a hard time believing it because she wasn’t very fond of car shows, but it was nevertheless true. The stylistic developments are quite visible, they allow this Model 3 to improve its aerodynamic coefficient and therefore its autonomy without affecting the mechanical part. Smart!

Volkswagen
Passat SW
The Passat is no more, long live the new Passat… but only as a station wagon! Sedans are no longer popular, it is known, with a few exceptions, but there was clearly a strong demand for the SW version, still appreciated in a certain number of countries for its loading volume. Moreover, that of the new version has improved further to become simply giant.

This is called getting back on track! If the automotive news never really stopped this summer, the new products were quite logically fewer. For the back-to-school week, there are fireworks with, on the one hand, a rather well-stocked Munich Motor Show and, on the other hand, manufacturers not necessarily present in Germany but determined to remember our good memories. As if that wasn’t enough, these are undoubtedly some of the most anticipated new releases of the year…
What’s new at the Munich Motor Show
As for the new products present across the Rhine, we were able to discover a few days before its opening the brand new version of Scenic which no longer has anything at all to do with its ancestors. The German manufacturers were obviously at their advantage. Mercedes has unveiled a concept foreshadowing the future CLA as well as a new version of its E-Class. BMW has presented a concept which foreshadows a future 100% electric 3 Series. Volkswagen has lifted the veil on its new Passat… now only offered as a station wagon, as well as on a zero-emission GTI concept. Only Audi of the Teutonic brands had nothing new to present, but we will come back to that. Another very big surprise on display in Munich, the restyled Tesla Model 3. Yes, yes, a very rare thing, the Californian brand was present at a car show.
And the others
There were also a large number of cars that we discovered for the very first time during the week but which did not make the trip to Germany. First, let’s come back to Audi, which did not deign to show its restyled Q8 in Munich even though it was present there. We also note the presentation of an important new product, one of the most important of the year, the new Peugeot 3008. Finally, as always, our scoop illustrator has imagined some of the new features of tomorrow. Like every week, let’s look at it together in pictures!
