Zapping Auto Moto Restyled Peugeot 2008 vs Renault Captur: first static confrontation!
The ninth edition of “Paris Breathe” car-free day is fast approaching. The latter will in fact take place on Sunday September 17, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. No motor vehicle will be able to circulate within Paris itself on this date during these seven hours.
The entire city, excluding the ring road, is thus affected by this ban. The latter even affects motorized two-wheelers and… electric cars. Would it therefore be impossible to breathe next to an electric vehicle that does not emit any pollutant emissions during its use?
Still, the town hall decided so. “Like last year, the entire city will be reserved for non-polluting traffic, bicycles, rollerblades, scooters, skateboards and longboards, etc. But also for pedestrians and public transport users”. This even if they pollute.
Exceptions for some vehicles
Thus, buses will be able to circulate well on Parisian roads. They can be joined by emergency vehicles, naturally, as well as taxis and VTCs. This at a speed limited to 30 km/h.
The latter will be lowered to 20 km/h in the “Paris Respire” areas. Areas which are already regularly closed to traffic, especially on weekends. VTCs will not be authorized there, unlike buses, emergency vehicles and taxis.
Other exceptions are also possible. These last can be found on the town hall website. These include the possibility for drivers returning from the weekend to enter the capital by car. This only upon presentation of proof of address. Proof to return home. Enough to bring back good memories of 2020. In the meantime, offenders face a fine of 135 euros.
