Examining the highway code is becoming easier and easier to share

September 12, 2023 will be a big date for all driving learners. Indeed, a new examination of the highway code will be put in place. If the basics remain the same, it will include new questions. These will be simpler and more precise. They will sometimes include the point of view of another user, in order to better share the road.

Thus, 1,037 new questions will appear. There will first be more questions concerning the first theme of the highway code: road traffic. Indeed, teachers have realized that most students no longer know the signs when they start driving lessons.

These will also be asked more simply, with a clearer statement. It will also be specified on each question whether one or more answers are expected. A frame can finally surround an important element of the question, in order to draw attention to it.

Put yourself in the shoes of other users, in order to better share the road

This new review will also place greater emphasis on sharing the road. The perspective of certain questions will evolve, to put oneself in the place of pedestrians, scooter users, cyclists, scooter and motorcycle users or even truck drivers.

To do this, a button indicating the point of view of the chosen user will appear on certain questions. Enough to appreciate everyone’s point of view. An increasingly important topic these days.

Note that the bases during the exam will not change, for their part. Of these more than 1,000 questions, 40 will always be chosen for passing the code. You will also always have to give a minimum of 35 correct answers to pass the exam. This is before moving on to driving.
