Fired from a rocket launcher tube, the WASP M4-TL then deploys its arms aloft to transform into a versatile four-engine drone. It can carry 1.5 kilos of payload.

[EN VIDÉO] Military drones What are the different types of military drones used for?
On the battlefields in Ukraine, Kyiv’s armed forces use lurking munitions, otherwise known as suicide drones, such as the American-supplied Switchblade 300 or 600. They are launched from a mortar tube and the dronedrone spreads its wings to navigate and reach its distant target. Developed by the British company ISSISS Aerospace, the WASP M4-TL uses this same principle. He is propelled into theairair by a rocket launcher thanks to its rocket engine placed on its tail. On the other hand, rather than deploying fins, it unfolds its four arms equipped with as many rotors. He can then carry out hoverhover, as its counterparts do or navigate. The device stays in the air thanks to its battery alone.
Deployed in less than three seconds
The WASP M4-TL can be used for reconnaissance, deliver medical equipment or even neutralize enemy drones. Its main advantage is that it can be deployed in less than three seconds. It is therefore very useful in scenarios where soldiers seek to save time by avoiding assembly and initialization as well as the calibration specific to quadcopter drones. It can in fact carry a payload of 1.5 kilos during a flight of around twenty minutes. Without charging, its autonomy increases to thirty minutes. In the neznez of the WASP M4-TL, there is an electro-optical camera and infraredinfrared which retransmits the images to the operator. A rangefinder is also present. The whole thing is mounted on a gimbal. In terms of weight, the drone weighs only four kilos without its payload and measures 55 centimeters long and almost 14 centimeters wide when folded. L’aéronefaéronef is designed to be able to be recovered and reused. The rocket motor cartridge is then replaced.
